Broom House Woodland Adventure Trail
The Broom House Woodland Adventure Trail is a family attraction near Durham, open weekends and school holidays from February Half Term -November 10.30am until 4.30pm. Broom House offers Durham's most exciting action packed fun for all the family. Follow the nature trails, attempt the woodland challenges...climb the towers, wizz down the slide, fly along the zip wire and dare to enter the tunnels. Solve the quizzes amongst the trees, there's something for all ages.Enter Woodpecker Wood, choose your path and use your instincts to explore the woodland. Meet the unexpected at every turn and enjoy the magic of nature. Sit and enjoy the tranquil scenery, watch wildlife from the hide and learn about the trees and animals in the wood.
Please wear sensible footwear and clothing!
Admission prices are £4.50 adults, £4 OAPS and children 3 and over. Family ticket (2 + 2) £16.00. Season tickets available. Please note children will not be allowed on the trail unattended.
Test your skills on the oak tree walk - a higher level walkway with balance beams, tunnels and slide. Underneath is the oak tree challenge, how fast can can you get round our circuit of obstacles and challenges?
Broom House Commando Call Up!
Location> Broom House Woods> Time> school holidays > Battle Missions using state of the art laser tag infra red weapons >Urban Commando will be running these missions for kids of all ages (7+). This is the ideal action to pull your children away from their XBOX and into the outdoors for some fantastic fun and fresh air. £7.50 per action packed 45 minute session. Book a slot for your friends and family>Individual players welcome>Target age range 10-14 years > AIM > ...FIRE! Longer slots and private bookings welcome (max group size 14). We suggest that you wear old clothes, old sturdy shoes and camoflage if possible!! Battle Game will start at various times, please arrive 15 mins before your slot to allow time for Health and Safety instruction etc. You can try just turning up but to avoid disappointment please book by ringing Dereck on 07830796928
Please wear sturdy shoes and outdoor clothing - for extra fun dress in your best woodland camoflage gear! Long sleeves and long trousers are best!

Enjoy a taste of the countryside meet some of our farm animals and see our sheep and cattle grazing in the nearby pastures. Don't miss the piglets, the ducks and the doves, shetland pony and his friends in the paddock!

Cloakroom & baby changing facilities on site.
Friendly dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
